Carlyle AlpInvest, the secondary investment arm of Carlyle, has led the formation of a single-asset continuation vehicle for Bridgepointe Technologies, a leading technology advisory and enablement platform. The transaction, announced April 13, 2026, provides additional capital for Bridgepointe’s growth while offering liquidity to existing investors of Charlesbank Capital Partners, which will continue as a significant shareholder.
This continuation vehicle values Bridgepointe at over $1 billion, ranking it among the largest single-asset transactions in the technology services distribution sector in recent years. The structure allows Charlesbank to expand its commitment to Bridgepointe following its initial investment in December 2021, while Carlyle AlpInvest’s participation brings substantial secondary capital and long-term investment expertise to the company’s shareholder base.
Since Charlesbank’s entry, Bridgepointe has rapidly scaled through a combination of organic expansion and strategic acquisitions, evolving into a national platform that assists enterprises with decisions around telecom, cloud, and IT infrastructure. The new capital secured through the continuation vehicle will be directed toward accelerating Bridgepointe’s acquisition pipeline, enhancing its technology and data capabilities, and further developing its sales and go-to-market infrastructure.
Eric Anton, Partner at Carlyle AlpInvest, commented on the rationale behind the transaction: “Bridgepointe represents a differentiated platform in a large and growing market. We see compelling opportunity in the company’s current trajectory, its leadership team, and its approach to acquisitions. Our partnership with Charlesbank and management is intended to support Bridgepointe’s ongoing growth and innovation.”
From Charlesbank’s perspective, Managing Directors Pedro Vaz and Ryan Carroll emphasized the dual objectives of the transaction. Vaz noted the strong momentum Bridgepointe has demonstrated and expressed confidence in the company’s long-term prospects under its current management. Carroll added that the transaction offers liquidity to early investors while enabling Bridgepointe to enter its next phase of growth with the backing of both existing and new partners.
Bridgepointe’s CEO and Co-Founder, Scott Evars, highlighted the significance of the capital infusion, stating, “This investment materially strengthens our ability to scale and supports our mission to disrupt the technology distribution and consulting space. With the continued commitment from Charlesbank and the addition of Carlyle AlpInvest, we are well positioned to execute on our accelerated growth strategy and expand the breadth of services we offer to clients and partners.”
Advisory roles on the transaction were held by Guggenheim Securities and Moelis & Company, with Moelis also acting as lead placement agent. The structure and scale of the deal underscore the growing activity in the single-asset continuation market, as private equity sponsors seek to realize additional value in high-performing portfolio companies while providing optionality for existing investors.
Carlyle AlpInvest is recognized as one of the largest and most active investors in the global secondary market, with $102 billion in assets under management and a track record that includes commitments to over 380 private equity managers worldwide. Its involvement in the Bridgepointe transaction is expected to enhance the company’s access to capital and strategic resources as it pursues additional expansion.
Charlesbank Capital Partners, based in Boston and New York, manages approximately $21 billion in assets and invests across a range of sectors, including technology, through both equity and credit strategies. The firm’s continued investment in Bridgepointe reflects its thematic approach and focus on long-term value creation alongside management teams.
What This Means: The formation of a large-scale single-asset continuation vehicle for Bridgepointe Technologies, led by Carlyle AlpInvest, highlights the evolving dynamics of the private equity secondary market. These vehicles are increasingly being used to provide liquidity to existing investors while enabling sponsors to retain exposure to high-growth assets. For the technology services sector, this transaction signals continued appetite from institutional investors for platforms with scalable, differentiated offerings and strong acquisition strategies.
